Instructions for Remote Presenting
Please check the schedule for your talk time slot and session number. Session numbers (1-4) on the schedule will correspond with breakout rooms (1-4) in Zoom.
Be mindful of time differences – the ACAL website should automatically display the California time and the corresponding time in your time zone based on your web browser, but please double-check.
Each talk will be 20 minutes with 10 minutes allotted for questions and discussion. Practice your talk to ensure it fits within the 20 minutes. Session chairs will inform you of how much time you have left.
Please have your handout or slides ready to present in Zoom.
To share slides/handout, click on the green Share Screen button and select the slides/handout from the open files on your computer (Tip: it's best not to have lots of windows and files open so you can easily find it).
If you would like to share your handout or slide presentation with the participants for them to download, you can upload it in the Chat during your session. We highly recommend sharing a PDF version of your handout or slides with this method. To upload via Chat, click on Chat, and then click on the file icon button, circled in red below. This will allow you to select a file from your computer to upload.

If you are concerned about your internet connection, please pre-record a video recording of your presentation (instructions were emailed to you) and send it to us by April 1st.
